Local Guidelines:

Lynn Guidelines *The Lynn Cultural Council Grants Committee supports and funds artists and organizations that provide cultural programs and projects in the Arts, Humanities and Interpretive Sciences.
*LCC grant applications are only accepted for programs, projects or events that take place in Lynn and/or directly benefit Lynn residents.
*Applications MUST show proof of a confirmed venue or it will be rejected.
*Under Mass Cultural Council program guidelines the LCC should not be considered a continuous source of funding for artists or organizations presenting the same program(s) or project(s) year after year. Funding for such programs will be reduced or rejected in favor of programs that are new, broader in scope or address a greater number or neglected segment of Lynn citizens.
*Grant funds should not be the only means of support for your project. Because funds are limited, your event should be able to proceed with only partial funding from the Lynn Cultural Council. Grant funds cannot be used for transportation or refreshment expenses.
*Applications must be typed on the current revision of the (+)LCC grant application. *Applicants must submit three (3) signed copies with back-up documentation if applicable.
*Applications must be received at LynnArts (or postmarked) no later than the current years October 15th deadline.
*Budgets must be complete, accurate and balanced. Please check your math. *LCC applications are judged separately then weighed against the merits of other programs with consideration given to criteria such as Community Value and Benefits, Performers Qualifications, Program Planning, Originality, a Realistic and Value Based Budget, and Site Accessibility.
*PASS grants are available.
*Pass grants are too be used to supplement ticket expenses for cultural school trips.
*Pass grants cannot be used for bus transportation.
*Use the separate (+)PASS Grant application to apply
* LCC and PASS Grant funds are not transferable to other programs or venues. Funds are to be used ONLY as applied for and approved on your original grant application. Any extension or change in program or venue must be received and approved in WRITING by the Lynn Cultural Council Grants Committee or reimbursement will be denied.

Note: All advertisement/brochures/publicity for your program must bear this credit line: "This program is supported in part by a grant from the Lynn Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency." (+)LCC and PASS Applications are available at www.massculturalcouncil.org or at LynnArts, 25 Exchange St. Lynn, MA.

Funding Priorities:

Granting Priorities. *Priority will be given to Lynn Artists and Performers. This does not mean artists outside of Lynn should not apply to present programs or performances in Lynn. However if two programs are of equal value, priority will be given to the artist residing in Lynn (if applicable). *Priority will be given to projects that introduce or bring the arts to groups or organizations which may not normally have access to or be in a financial or physical position to attend or see such programs or performances.
