The Registration Clerk will accurately perform activities related to the smooth functioning of the COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic at Lynn Vocational Technical Institute, a collaboration between the City of Lynn and Lynn Community Health Center.  The Clerk is responsible for greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner and helping them to receive the services they need.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

  • Respect and maintain patient confidentiality in all aspects of care including use of electronic health information.
  • Treat all patients and fellow staff in a welcoming and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate professionalism by appropriate attire, attendance, attitude and behavior.
  • Support all team members by maintaining an open and positive attitude.
  • Continually monitor appointment schedule, acknowledge appointments, and change appointment status when necessary.
  • Communicate with supervisors, management, and clinical team when appropriate.
  • Monitor Waiting/line area to ensure patients are being taken care of in a timely manner.
  • Ensures all necessary forms and/or visual aids are available at the station throughout the day.
  • Attends team or training meetings, as requested.
  • Alerts supervisor to anticipated or actual problems and/or concerns in a timely manner, so that preventive measures and/or solutions may be initiated.

Bilingual in English and another language (ex: Spanish, Khmer, Portuguese, Russian, Haitian Creole et al); High School Graduate or equivalent; History of good attendance and positive work attitude; Detail-oriented and thorough; Ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse cultural backgrounds; Ability to be courteous, efficient, effective, and patient under hectic circumstances; Previous reception/administrative experience in a medical practice setting; Knowledge of Epic (EHR) preferred. City residency required.

Hours and Term of Service

Flexible, including evenings and weekends. These are non-permanent, part-time positions. Hours will be assigned at the discretion of the City.
