Ovewview	The City of Lynn seeks a responsible, motivated, and community-oriented individual to serve as sanitation engineer for a pilot program funded by the Lynn Economic Development and Industrial Corporation (EDIC) in order to increase the collection of trash in the city’s Central Business District (Downtown area). The pilot program will run for 12-16 weeks and then be reevaluated.
Requirements and Qualifications	The Part-Time Sanitation Engineer will operate a small manual push cart and drive a mini-street sweeper to assist with the collection of trash and contribute to the beautification of the Central Business District (Downtown). The employee must be able to use manual tools to pick up trash (broom, shovel), empty barrels, and communicate problem areas to DPW supervisors and staff. This position requires a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and good driving history, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a pre-employment physical.
